There was a little accident in the ann-frank household just the other night.

I was at my computer just tap, tap, tapping away, cool breeze coming through the window, iced tea at my side, feeling all comfortable with my feet propped up on another chair in front of me.

So comfortable, in fact, I started to lean … back… and I went … just a little….toooooo

Far.

And I fell backwards, right on my ass.

Just left of my tailbone, I felt this explosion of pain.

And I didn’t hit my head or anything, but I literally saw stars.

Now, I have the most spectacular bruise on my back/bum; perfectly round, about the size of a nectarine and a really beautiful completely dark purple.

I mean, it’s such a fantastic color, it makes me want to march right over to K-Mart, drop trou and insist someone in the Martha Stewart section mix up some paint of the exact same hue and add it to her upcoming fall palette.

It is just. that. pretty.

Are you kidding me? I am certain ann-frank’s Ass Bruise Purple will be the color of kitchens, baths and bedrooms come Winter ‘02.
